Summary

Current Predix CloudFoundry back end architecture 'DEA - Droplet Execution Agent' is planned to be decommissioned in Frankfurt datacenter on December 18, 2017. Users are required to migrate their applications to a backend architecture called 'Diego Cells' on CloudFoundry before the decommissioning date.

Details

Starting today, end users are advised to start migrating their apps from DEA to Diego. Please follow the 'Migration Process' below for detailed steps. On December 18, 2017 at 10:00 AM PT, platform engineering team will change the default backend in CloudFoundry to Diego. After the migration, any new application pushed to the Predix cloud, will be automatically deployed in Diego. Users must migrate their apps before December 18, 2017.

Note

Applications using DEA after December 18, 2017, due to lack of action from application owner, will be migrated automatically by platform engineering team. However, platform engineering team will not be responsible for troubleshooting any issue on these applications, and that will still be responsibility of the application owner.
